Sometimes I write and publish on other platfroms. My work is always published here first, and then duplicated. Google barks about this, and for a very good reason, it's duplicate content; hell it could be stolen content too. So I am glad that they bark. To migigate punishment some platforms, like Medium, let you specify a canonical link. All platfroms should do it. It is smart and respectful to the author. Period.
